Club of Naperville with generous support of the Naperville Park
District and the City of Naperville are making plans for the 20th
annual Ribfest.
Voted as The Best Fest in the Midwest for the last
9 years, Ribfest 2007 will run from June 30th through July 4th
at Naperville Knoch Park. Approximately 250,000 people come to
enjoy the food and listen to the music each year. In prior years,
the main stage entertainment has included Sugar Ray, dada, Lynyrd
Skynyrd, Heartsfield, Poi Dog Pondering, Nicholas Tremulis Orchestra,
Cathy Richardson Band, Mr. Blotto, Umphrey's McGee, Jim Belushi,
Pat Benatar, 38 Special, Cheap Trick, Rick Springfield, Kansas,
America, Taylor Dayne, Blood, Sweat & Tears, Eddie Money and
Kool & The Gang, Ted Nugent, David Lee Roth, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Loretta Lynn, REO Speedwagon, Better Than Ezra, Doobie Brothers, Charlie Daniels Band, and Blue Oyster Cult.
The proceeds from this event will continue the fight against child
abuse and domestic violence. Additionally, Ribfest revenues support
various youth programs, community service projects and events
promoting Americanism.
